DaevaMeter

Install DaevaMeter

Five steps. You need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and AION 2 on a Global server.

  1. Download it

    One file, the installer.

Download for Windows Version DaevaMeter.exe21.1 MB · 2026-10-24
    Check the file (optional)

In the folder you saved it to, open PowerShell and type:

    Get-FileHash .\DaevaMeter.exe -Algorithm SHA256

    The answer should be 4f5ec24ea5fe9cad2577674d04d77294b05668f47c5671fd8506a5a62c51c8d2

If your browser stops the download

The installer is new and isn’t code-signed, so some browsers stop it the first time (“Canceled”, “isn’t commonly downloaded”, “Suspicious download blocked”). Keep it this way:

    Microsoft Edge
    1. Open your downloads: Ctrl+J.
    2. On DaevaMeter-Setup, click ⋯, then Keep.
    3. If Edge asks again, click Show more, then Keep anyway.

It only says “Canceled”? Download it again from this page, then keep it as above.

    Google Chrome
    1. Open your downloads: Ctrl+J.
    2. On DaevaMeter-Setup, click Download suspicious file (or Keep).
    Firefox
    1. Open the downloads list (the arrow at the top right).
    2. Right-click DaevaMeter-Setup and choose Allow download.
    Your antivirus
    1. Check the file first (above).
    2. Windows Security › Virus & threat protection › Protection history: open the entry, then Actions › Allow on device.

Only download DaevaMeter from this site. Is it safe? →

  2. Run it

Open the file you downloaded. It doesn’t need to run as admin. The installer isn’t code-signed, so Windows may say it “protected your PC”: click More info, then Run anyway.

Your browser may also ask whether to keep the file. To be sure it’s the one from this site, check it first (step 1). Is it safe? →

  3. Install

Click Install. It installs for your Windows user.

    • The first time, it downloads the app’s runtime (about 160 MB, from its official GitHub release, checked before use).
    • Everything goes in one folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\DaevaMeter (the app, your settings, your saved fights).
  4. Get Npcap when it asks

DaevaMeter reads the game’s traffic with Npcap. It’s a free driver (Wireshark uses it too), and Setup gets it for you from npcap.com if you don’t have it. Install it with the default options. Its installer asks Windows for permission, as drivers do.

Without Npcap, the meter can also run with Settings › Capture › Run capture as admin.

  5. Play

Start AION 2. DaevaMeter shows over the game and starts a fight as soon as you or your party deal or take damage.

    • Display mode: Borderless or Windowed suits an overlay best.
    • Settings: Ctrl+Shift+O, or the tray icon.
    • Your layout: Settings › Edit HUD layout: put the meter, Combat Assist and the rest where you want them.
    • Clicking the meter in game: hold the key that frees your cursor (Alt by default).
    • When AION 2 closes, the meter leaves the screen too, and comes back with the game. The tray icon stays.

The guide goes through each part of DaevaMeter, one at a time.

Updates

DaevaMeter checks for a new version each time it starts. “Install and restart” updates it in a few seconds.

Uninstall

Windows Settings › Apps › DaevaMeter. It asks whether to keep your settings and saved fights.
